Veteran Community Resources is a Florida registered 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization founded by the leadership of the National Disabled Veteran Business Council, Inc., which has developed community benefit programs such as: training, employment and affordable housing for the Veteran community, all of which are from an empowerment platform. VCR also carries the HUD designation of (CHDO) Community Housing Development Organization in the City of West Palm Beach, FL. VCR is also a State of Florida Department of Education approved, Vocational Rehabilitation Service Provider. Veteran Community Resources, Inc., was originally named, Florida Friends for Life, Inc., founded in 2010, as a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit public charity headquartered in Florida. Initially formed to assist elderly Veterans in South Florida’s area nursing homes. Today, all of the community benefit programs that VCR operates, which is a marked difference from other existing programs that promote entitlement rather than encourage empowerment, are the bedrock of our community Veteran initiatives.
The National Disabled Veteran Business Council, Inc., is a Florida registered 501 (c) 19 Veteran Service Organization. The NDVBC is headquartered in West Palm Beach. The NDVBC unites, represents and advocates for the thousands of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses across the country coupled with providing Accountability and Oversight of Veteran initiatives nationally. The VA Central Office in Washington, DC publishes a National Registry that provides National Recognition to the NDVBC as a Veteran Service Organization. The NDVBC has lobbied, supported, and developed positive legislation for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The leadership of the NDVBC continues its mission with tenacity and operates with integrity above reproach.
