Recent email sent out by the Executive Director of the NDVBC to all Palm Beach County SDVOB’s
Greetings once again fellow Veteran business owners,
For those of you that have responded to our last outreach email, thank you! We certainly are looking forward to your assistance and involvement with moving the realistic procurement opportunities forward.
As mentioned previously, we are expecting to receive and review the draft from the City of West Palm Beach’s newly proposed procurement ordinances, which will include SDVOB’s. Once we have that, as well as the dates for the two public readings, we will be sharing that information, only with those of you that have expressed an interest in this initiative that the NDVBC has enacted on your behalf.
As well, we mentioned our intentions to replicate our efforts into the County. We will be addressing the County Commissioners on November 1st at 2:00 PM on this topic and are asking all SDVOB’s that could potentially benefit from this effort to join us at this time.
The NDVBC is advocating to both, the City and the County, that the NDVBC be the Veteran Service Organization that brings the much needed accountability and oversight component to this procurement process. Ultimately, the organization that “vets the SDVOB’s and continues to advocate for them though procurement opportunities.
Please advise via this email your intentions and involvement, specifically the upcoming November 1st County Commissioners public meeting.
